The team will play a 60 game spring and summer schedule from the beginning of May to the end of July. Head Coach will be AHP's Pitching Coordinator, Ethan Elias, who brings a wealth of experience to the table (eight years of professional pitching experience, current AHP Academy Co-Head Coach, West Coast League, collegiate level, and 18U level coaching experience).
The team will play an extremely competitive 60 game schedule which will include SEVEN tournaments. Highlights include a Portland Showcase at the end of July, and the prestigious Spokane Wood Bat Classic over July 4th. Other tournaments include: The Okotoks Mother's Day Classic, Webber Academy Showcase, Vauxhall Invitational, Lethbridge Invitational, and the Doc Plotsky Tournament. The remainder of the schedule will be made up against other travel and 18U teams, as well as Sunburst League Teams.
A major pillar of this program is ensuring our players are exposed to the level of competition they need to be facing in order to be adequately prepared for the next level. We want them to be forced to compete and we will teach them how to compete. We believe firmly withthe schedule we are putting together, coupled with our coaching staff - we will accomplish just that. Addtionally, actual mental skills coaching and training will be a priority in our weekly schedule.
THE SCHEDULE:
May 6/7: Confed Cubs (Senior Men's Team)
May 11-14: Okotoks Dawgs Mother's Day Classic
May 19-21: Vauxhall Academy of Baseball Invitational

June 16-18: Lethbridge Spitz Elks Tournament
June 23/24: OFF (Final Exams/Break)
June 29-July 2: Spokane Wood Bat Classic

The second major pillar of the program is prioritizing development. Included in the costs of the program (no additional charge) will be individualized strength and conditioning programs and access to the new AHP Facility 24/7 for extra hitting and fielding work. In addition to this, a major principle of AHP is that no two athlete's are alike. Our player's mid-week individual plans will vary (BP rounds, infielding drills, bullpen configurations, etc). Development need not only occur in the off-season.
The third pillar of our program is exposure and college placement. We take the reigns on this aspect of the program by connecting with colleges to come out and watch when we are in the US, as well as utilizing video and assisting in that process throughout the season. Every play throughout the year is recorded to ensure that we are able to compile optimal footage for each player in helping them move on to the next level.
If you are interested in playing for this team, tryouts will occur late-February/early March (dates TBD). In lieu of that, because we know lots of other tryouts will be happening soon - we are providing an option to set up a private 1-on-1 tryout. Please reach out via info@absolutehumanperformance.com to request a tryout or find out more info!
